Theme: "A Time to Heal, A Time to Pray"

Scripture: II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Scripture: Isaiah 30:25 & 26

"There will be on every high mountain
And on every high hill
Rivers and streams of waters,
In the day of the great slaughter,
When the towers fall.
Morever the light of the sun will be sevenfold,
As the light of seven days,
In the day that the Lord binds up the bruise of His people
And heals the stroke of their wound."

President Bush was invited to participate in this service and lead
the nation in a prayer of healing from the legacy of slavery
